A wise friend asked me, “What does your wife say about this?” I told him that she actually was not in favor of it. He said, “Mike, this is a problem.”

WIth some adjustments, my wife and I ended up going through a decision-making process that was very different than what we had ever done before. And we’ve been married 41 years.

The process was simple but profound. This is definitely the way that we’ll be making major decisions the rest of our lives.

I wish we learned this process a long time ago.

As we're now into another year, it's good to assess ourselves. What did we learn that helps us prepare and leads us to tomorrow?

Are you becoming truly wiser in your aging? A better you? Toward what end?

Look specifically at this past year. Consider the learning, the discerning, the guidance you received. There should be an adding or uplift to personal wisdom, even righteousness.
