The festival has been taking place all week and Nicole chatted to them about all of the amazing workshops, acts and performances which have been and will be taking place. The centrepiece of the festival is the Museum of The Moon which is being showcased this weekend in Calverley Grounds. The festival itself is a fantastic way to bring the local community together after the pandemic and Nicole, Ailsa and Alison dive into this deeper. They share with Nicole their passion for creating events like these and their enthusiasm is contagious in this episode!

Winners of the DV247 national songwriting competition, they wowed the guests at the TW Festival & even more so chatting to Nicole & Giles backstage. Having featured already on ITV news, Roger Daltrey (the legendary rock star, frontman of The Who) said The Act “will have a great career ahead of them” and that “they show real musical talent and amazing chemistry”.

 The Act draws from the world of rock, punk, pop, country, hip hop, folk and many other influences to produce a unique sound. Born of natural chemistry their songs and performances belie their age….discovered by ‘How to be in a band’ Founder Jason West, we also got to talk to him personally about his reasons for setting up this inspirational school which helps create & showcase all over kent & beyond….with over 30 years experience in the industry he knows exactly how to help kids of all ages & abilities reach their highest potential & form bands as well as navigating the many obstacles that might throw some off course in our current day & age of music & industry.
