The BDA boys have the blues as they pick the bones of a devastating loss for NSW in Origin I at Suncorp. Heroes and villains are chosen from both sides of the border and prognostications for Origin II are pondered.

The BDA boys lament an Indigenous round that was hallowed in culture, but fallow in on-field quality. The focus shifts to the greatest games of the greatest game of all, State of Origin. The Game 1 teams are dissected with scalpel-like intent, with more talk of the Tweed than a Saville Row tailor.

With Adrian in absentia doing his best David Copperfield impression, the Chris and Joe double act riff through the NRL's Suncorp Stadium 8-card trick. A round rich in spectacle but light on shocking twists (apart from a few knees and ankles on the deteriorating QLD turf), we break it all down and throw in a couple of medium-sized Origin squad reveals in keeping with the conjuring theme.

The BDA boys talk up another dazzling round of NRL. After unpacking a Thursday "grudge" match where the Bunnies sizzled and the Broncos fizzled, the convo turned to full astonishment at rare feats witnessed on the eve of Magic Round: the rise and the rise of L.Mitchell, stunning team and solo efforts at another Bankwest blockbuster, and most remarkable of all, Storm team mates arguing with each other.

The BDA corps is back at attention this week with a 21 gun salute to two venerated pillars of the NRL: the ANZAC round and Greg Inglis. The lads shift from misty-eyed and mirthful in remembering the Goanna's fends, feuds and fashion forays and unpack why the Roosters and Storm got the ANZAC Day biccies and why the Bulldogs and Cowboys played their match in no-man's land.

With Joe joining from his sojourn plotting expansion of the BDA to Perth, the lads review Round 4 of the NRL, including lamb shanks, twanged hamstrings and tales of two Fergos. Adrian also gives a lively recount of his weekend encounters with various luminaries of the game.

The BDA lads take the show on the road, conducting an insightful review of Round 3 of the NRL over some of the best Thai food in the NRL heartland of Chatswood.

After spending the first few days of this week in the sin bin (for dissent), the lads perform a quick backline shuffle to cover the best parts of Round 2 of the NRL's 2019 season as well as a look ahead to Round 3.

With Adrian off pirate hunting, Joe is left at the mercy of one of God's rarest and most repugnant abominations: a satisfied Parramatta Eels fan. Thankfully Chris keeps his gloating to a minimum as the BDA team whip through an intriguing opening round of league results, which featured biblical rain and a truly titanic performance from one J Taumalolo.

The lads emerge from their fallout shelter after the nuclear winter of the NRL off season. We review all 16 teams and pick a likely top 8 for the 2019 season (carefully notated by Adrian on a Post It note).
