The Big Learner Relay 2019 takes off from Lands End. Before we discover where this years route is headed we catch up on Day Northern Ireland, then we head off on a tour of Day 1.

From fog to familiar faces, Peregrines to pasties and a special relayer Harry, connecting us to the BBC One Show's Rickshaw Challenge.

And 2019 is complete... We knew something was missing, but it's here! The Big Learner Relay has launched in Jersey, ready for the BIG start next week!

The BLR sees instructors from around the UK unite together to raise thousands for BBC Children in Need. This is the 6th year of the relay, originally conceived by Louise Walsh, and the 5th Big Learner Relay song, lyrics penned by Chris Bensted. It now has Fundraising Partner status with Children in Need and also runs under 17 driving at CarFest events each year. October to November sees Spotty Cars waiting to be sponsored and signed on roads near you, and Facebook threads turning spotty with posts supporting the cause.

Bringing together an industry, helping children across the UK and generally being a force for good!
