But don't worry, the lads are still chatting about the fantastic first week of Premier League action, touching on what it means to be "prepared", and, in the light of Kevin Keegan's passing, they take a look at what the Bible says about leaving a legacy. Football is almost back! And Ed and Joe are admittedly not that ready to kick off a new season! Football just keeps coming, and if we are this worn out, how must the players feel? To remind ourselves we revisit an interview with Omar Beckles, Leyton Orient player and chair of the PFA, how his Christian faith shapes his leadership, and why fixture congestion and lack of consultation harm players’ physical health, wellbeing, and family life.

Despite the shortness of this summer break, The Big Man Up Top is still excited to be covering its third season of football and we are thrilled if you would join us for new weekly episodes and extra content such as our Head to head Fantasy League:

This week on the Big Man Up Top, Ed and Joe taking a break and handing the episode over to Stat Matt! Matt has been to Portsmouth FC to interview Deb Smart on her incredible experience as the Pompey Women's team chaplain!

Suprise! We are back, after all that's been going on this week, we couldn't help but do a quick extra episode (rant) about the new FIFA investment plan that is stirring up the football world. Needless to say we just had to discuss it! Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

This week Ed is joined by Jesse Bradley, a former professional goalkeeper who is now the chaplain at MLS Team the Seattle Sounders. Ed and Jesse have an awesome conversation about the growth of football in the US but more importantly the growth of faith within the game and how exciting this movement is in America and around the world!

Find more from Jesse here: https://jessebradley.org/

The World Cup is finished! Spain bring home the Trophy, and Argentina go home in defeat, but its how Argentina lost that has been making headlines this week, and Joe and Producer Tom are ready to talk about it! Where is Ed you ask? In the very heart of football itself... A Caravan site in North Wales, but don't worry he is communicating his live reaction via voice note, just like Larry Henry Jr who brings us his final update of the tournament! And we can't forget the most exciting match of the weekend, England's third place victory over France in an exciting 10 goal game, which saw players from both sides gather in prayer! An ending we are overjoyed to cover in this weeks episode of the Big Man Up Top!

This week on the Big Man Up Golf! Ed and Tom are going through the 6 stages of grief after England's painful semi-final exit, beginning with denial! As Ed tries to start UCB's brand new Big Man Up Golf Podcast! With Joe stuck in Switzerland, Producer Tom has to step in to make sure we talk about the proper sport of football! Luckily Joe manages to keep in touch with some live reactions and Philly Larry joins us, for the last time, to give his two cents on the England Match and the upcoming finals!

This week Ed and Joe are discussing the Three Lions' most unlikely hero... The Spider-Cam! After England Vs Norway, what is the general census? Did England win fair and square, or did we just get lucky? Tuchel seemed to think so in a post match interview, but has English media taken his statement and used it to stir the pot? Can England stay united before the next challenge against old rivals Argentina? What does our Man in America, Larry Henry Jr think of England's Chances? All of these questions will be answered... sort of... in this weeks episode of The Big Man Up Top!
