Great Book
This is a great book. I read it to our Children's Church because a number of them are about to move. Everyone of them understands moving as we are mostly a military church stationed right outside of Ft Bliss. I was concerned at first because the book is long for our group, a number of our kids have special needs (Aspbergers and ADD). I did not expect to be able to read the book to them in one sitting but they LOVED IT! They sat quietly and listened for the entire duration which in our group is a miracle in and of itself! The book does a great job of tying in theological truths of salvation with a practical life experience most of our children have experienced. We are coming up on the time of deployments and PCSing and many of our children will be headed in different directions. This was the perfect opportunity to discuss God's love and to discuss their own fears about upcoming changes in their lives.
Great book!
I read this book to my 6 and 7 year old and they really enjoyed it. The boy in the book is upset that he is moving so his grandpa helps him by telling him some stories from the Bible to help him get through the hard time. This book would be great for any young elementary schoolers or preschoolers who are going to be moving to help them through the transition.
And unlike other moving books where the book characters introduce a wide range of emotions that your child may not have even thought of, this book majors on the right attitude to have which is far more helpful than other moving books out there.
Great, biblical story for kids
This book is great! It's biblical, and applicable to many different situations and feelings - not just the fear of moving. My 4 year old hangs on to every word each time we read it.
It explains the Gospel clearly, and can really help children understand God's presence in their lives. I'd recommend this book not only for kids dealing with moving to a new home or school, but for ANY child, due to the numerous applications throughout the story.

Great Book
