The new Iowa Beef Industry Council executive director Mike Anderson and board member Dan Hanrahan talks about the growth of the industry in the state and what can be done better. Hope Brecht from CSIF tells us how Iowa's livestock producers can get in touch with them to get started up and continue their operation. WMT's Doug Wagner was live from the HQ of the 2023 Tractorcade to announce dates, times, and routes.

Bob Quinn talks with Jacob Handsacker from Hands on Tiling and Excavating talks about the ideas and info presented at this week's Inaugural North American Conservation and Drainage Expo to effectively manage water runoff. Iowa State Extension's Rebecca Vittetoe gives a sneak peek into their upcoming "Planter University" informational series about setting up, adjusting, and maintaining your planter. Brian Hoops from Midwest Market Solutions gives a look into his price ranges for the next couple of weeks for grains with not much projected movement for corn but a little broader movement for the beans.

Bob Quinn did recap of the Nutriprobe 'reveal' with Van Wall, he also spoke with Walnut Creek Auction Owner Dave Aeschliman about the creation of a first-of-its-kind course on auctioneering at DMACC, the types of students they attracts, and what the students learn in the six-week curriculum. Brian Hoops from Midwest Market Solutions dissects some reports released in the past few days resulting the strength we saw in grain markets earlier this week and when he thinks we could hit the new crop corn estimate of $6.70.

Brad Rathje talks about the nuts and bolts of Nutriprobe and the data they collect. Iowa State University researcher Carmen Gomes tells us about their partnership with Van Wall and what they have learned from their use of Nutriprobe.

Angie Rieck-Hinz from Iowa State Extension fills us in on what they have been talking with growers about in the off-season meetings including treatments for tar spot, soybean cyst nematode, and gall midges. President of the Iowa Corn Growers Association talks about the new representation on the House Ag Committee and what it's like getting a new Farm Bill through in a Congress that has a lot of members that have never worked on one. Jamey Kohake from Paragon Investments wraps up the program with a look at the markets and says it's been difficult to get much above $14 for November soybeans in his target prices.
