It's been an AMAZING run for our little radio show these past 6 1/2 years. Over the course of 275 live shows, we have been able to put together a little corner of great conversation on the AM radio dial that made us all proud.

But all thing come to an end - and this Sunday night (July 7) will be the last episode of THE BIGGER PICTURE on AM870 the Answer here in Los Angeles and syndicated nationally courtesy of Salem Radio Network.

We started the show in the early months of 2013 with a simple goal in mind - to put on the air every week a healthy sampling of the stories and insights and ideas that we thought would appeal to you - because quite frankly they appealed to us!

Great guests, great callers and a overarching sense of inquisitiveness if what drove THE BIGGER PICTURE forward for 275 episodes.

Although it goes without saying, I will of course say it - I couldn't (and wouldn't) have been able to either get the show started or keep it going without the loyalty and dedication of my two co-hosts, Phil Sparks and Dave Fisher. Their commitment to the show (and to me!) over our run is something I will always treasure...

Joining us on the show this week is our Special Guest - bestselling author, historian and Professor - Allan J. Lichtman!

Allan J. Lightman received his PhD from Harvard University in 1973 and is currently Distinguished Professor of History at American University in Washington, D.C. He specializes in American political history and the presidency. Dr. Lichtman has authored or co-authored nine books, and hundreds of scholarly and popular articles. Dr. Lichtman's book "FDR and the Jews" (Harvard, 2013, with Richard Breitman), won the National Jewish Book Award in American Jewish History. It was a 2013 New York Times editor's choice, and a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize in History. His book, "White Protestant Nation: The Rise of the American Conservative Movement" (Grove/Atlantic 2008), was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award in non-fiction. The Teaching Company produced his video lectures on Great Presidents as part of their "Great Courses" series.

Dr. Lichtman is the co-developer of the Keys system that has successfully predicted the outcome of every presidential election since 1984. In September 2016, he defied the conventional wisdom to predict the election of Donald Trump. In early 2016, Rowman & Littlefield published the sixth edition of his Keys book series, "Predicting the Next President: The Keys to the White House 2016".

JASON STUART ("Kindergarten Cop" and "The Birth of a Nation")

Joining us on the show this week is our Special Guest - actor and comedian - Jason Stuart!

Born in the Bronx and raised in Los Angeles, Jason Stuart was a self-described insecure Jewish kid who turned to theatre and performing to mask his emerging sexual identity - he jokes about going to see Barbra Streisand in "Funny Girl" as a youth and falling in love with Omar Sharif. His talent and determination got him some early professional work in films like "Kindergarten Cop," "Vegas Vacation," and TV shows like "Murder, She Wrote" and "The Drew Carey Show." But by the early-90s, frustrated by years of living in the closet, Stuart chose to come out publicly on an episode of Geraldo Rivera's talk show focused on "Unconventional Comedians." With nearly 150 credits however, it was acting alongside Armie Hammer and Jackie Earle Haley as one of the brutal plantation owners in Nate Parker's searing drama "The Birth of a Nation" that showed the world Stuart's formidable talent.

Jason keeps evolving as a performer and as a human being hoping to make the world a better place.

LARRY SCHWEIKART (author and documentarian) and EVE BRANDSTEIN (theatre director)

Joining us on the show this week is our Special Guest - author, professor, screenwriter and producer - Larry Schweikart!

Larry Schweikart, a native Arizonian, graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in Political Science, then went on the road with several different rock bands, opening for such 60s/70s acts as Steppenwolf. He abruptly decided he wanted to be a history professor, and received an MA from ASU in history, then a Ph.D. from University of California, Santa Barbara. From 1985 to 2016 he taught at the University of Dayton.

Schweikart's best selling books include "Seven Events that Made America", "How Trump Won" with Joel Pollak (completed before the 2016 election), and his #1 NYTimes bestseller, with Mike Allen, "A Patriot's History of the United States". Eve will be discussing her latest directorial project, the U.S. premiere of "Anne, A New Play" - which reframes the Anne Frank story for what would have been Anne's 90th birthday.

Christian Kameir is a Managing Partner at blockchain venture fund Sustany Capital. Humberto was born in Havana, Cuba in 1954 and fled Cuba in 1961 with his family to New Orleans while his father was Castro and Che's political prisoner.
