This week Sara and Kyle are joined by Jordan Exantus, a planner working in Prince George's County, Maryland. Jordan talks about his perspective as a public planner working to develop walking and biking projects in an environment where car driving is much more prevalent and the impacts of historical residential displacement from the DC metro region are at the forefront of residents' minds. This week Kyle (sans Sara) talks with with Angela van der Kloof, a transportation and sustainability consultant from the Netherlands. Sara and Kyle met Angela while attending a study tour in Amsterdam last fall. This week Sara and Kyle chat with Anna Ray, Community Outreach Coordinator for Capital Bikeshare in Washington, DC. Through her work, Anna is creating an equity program that assists with improving access to bikeshare for the existing system and also planning future expansion of bikeshare into underserved communities throughout the DC region. The interview takes place during a day where Anna led a group ride, taught a "learn to ride" class, and attended a Women On Wheels event taking her bike nerd achievement to 10th level wizard.
