Highlights from The Bill Reunion 7, which took place at London’s Cinema Museum on Saturday November 12th 2022. Huge thanks to both Phil Clark and Graham Gurtner, the technical wizards at the Cinema Museum, who not only organised all the sound and the lighting, but also very kindly as a bonus, recorded the Q&A as well so that we would be able to share the evening with those of you who weren’t able to attend.

In Part 1 of this Christmas Special, you’ll be hearing the first half hour of the Q&A, featuring Suzanne Maddock (PC Cass Rickman), Lisa Geoghan (PC Polly Page) and Tom Butcher (PC Steve Loxton) - plus a very special bonus guest on the evening, one of the longest-serving The Bill directors, Mr. John Bruce.

The Bill Reunion 7 and this podcast are dedicated to long-term supporter of Misty Moon and fan of The Bill, Mr Jeff Lloyd, who sadly passed away earlier this year.

Michael Chapman 1928-2022

It is with huge sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Chapman, who whilst serving as Executive Producer was the most important member of The Bill production team for over a decade; instrumental not only in the creation of the series, but also its enormous success in the 1990s.

I’m sure I speak on behalf of all “The Bill” fans worldwide when I say that Michael’s work will be enjoyed, celebrated and appreciated forever. We pass on deepest condolences to Michael’s family, who would like to add the following statement:

"He will be sorely missed by his Labrador dog Biggles, one of a long line of Labradors that were well known at The Bill, in particular Bosun after whom the studios in Merton were renamed, (and of course by his beloved three daughters and five grandchildren)” - Caroline, Ruth & Felicity Chapman

Part 2 of Joy's Podcast, we do a deep dive into Sun Hill CID 1998-2000, discussing some of Joy's favourite Kerry episodes, including the seminal "Follow Through". Joy fondly recalls her co-stars and the crew. Joy also reveals whether it was her decision to leave "The Bill" or not... She also shares what her son makes of "The Bill" now, as well as her hopes for the future! Joy really is joy personified - enjoy this in-depth chat with a proper legend!

KERRY'S BACK! The mighty Joy Brook shares her memories of The Bill. Recorded just after restrictions eased, Joy talks about how lockdown, streaming services, her recent work on the theatre and teaching drama. Joy then recalls her early acting career and working on "The Thin Blue Line" with Rowan Atkinson and David Haig and "Dalziel and Pascoe" with Warren Clarke, before joining "The Bill" in 1998. More gold-dust from Joy to come in Part 2!

In the finale of this special quadrilogy with a true Sun Hill legend, we continue to dive into Iain's time as D.C. Rod Skase. We explore his friendship with Simon Rouse and which co-stars he has kept in touch with, plus his memories of the 1997 Christmas special "Twanky".
