It is a unwritten rule that African Americans vote Democrat. For decades Democrats have been talking about criminal justice reform. The only thing Democrats have been reforming is the growth and explosion of prison numbers that led to mass incarceration here in New Jersey. African Americans and Hispanics have been heavily impacted by these draconian laws that are in place in New Jersey. Mass incarceration effects black and brown people at a large rate. We need to be smart on crime not tough on crime. Let’s take preventive measures!
