During this COVID-19 pandemic, the African-American community is suffering disproportionately high mortality rates.

Simply stated, that means Black people are unequally contracting and dying from this virus.

The reasons are various, but include the fact that Black Americans have less access to health care, and live with a higher occurrence of the underlying conditions which compound the impact of the respiratory ailments presented with COVID-19.
