Consistently Eccentric History

The Black Joke - A tale of redemption starring an inanimate object.

Listen Later

When the British finally decided that slavery was wrong (after nearly 250 years of making massive profits) they decided to put a stop to it for good. In order to do that they would need a figurehead; a representative of all that was good and noble in the world; an unstoppable force that would strike terror into the heart of any slaver. What they got was a ship named vagina. This is her story.
