Thirty is vastly approaching for Deandra and she's trying to get her life together! Growing up, many of us thought that our thirties would be the prime adult age and we would have our entire lives together. That may be true for some, but changes happen throughout our entire lives and we need to release those expectations society expects us to have by thirty. We're all doing our best to be our best selves and that's good enough.

Deandra celebrated the sixth anniversary of The Black Princess Diaries blog. With no plans of taking TBPD as far as it has gotten, she realized how unexpected many of our destinations can be. Sometimes we know where we want to go, but end up somewhere completely different. Sometimes we have no idea where we're going, but end up in places we could never imagine. The best part is finding out when we get there.

With only a few moments left of 2023, it's time to reflect on what we took away from the year. People screamed, "It's 2023!" throughout the year, but what does that mean? As we go into a new year and change 2023 to 2024, allow it to mean that what we did in the year(s) prior, we're no longer accepting or doing in 2024. In 2024, there's no time for anything but growth!
