Ted Kaczynski is one of the bigger names in true crime. Dubbed as the Unabomber, Ted was responsible for the deaths of three people and injuring over twenty more with homemade bombs. Had one of his bombs functioned correctly, the death tally could’ve reached over five hundred. We’ll discuss Ted’s life, and how his genius level intellect was used for evil instead of good.

When you’re the inspiration for one of horror’s greatest villains, you know you’re a bad, bad human. Introducing Charles Starkweather, a spree killer, who racked up a total of eleven murders in the span of a couple of months. Many site Starkweather as the man who gave Stephen King the inspiration for some of his baddest villains, including Randall Flagg. Come under the Black Umbrella as we talk about what set Charles off onto his murder spree, his conviction and execution. Was he a product of bullying, or was there something ingrained inside Charles that turned him into this monster? We'll see.

We'll delve into some actual cultural norms for cannibalsim, what affects it can have on the body, and three killers (two serial) who engaged in the act of eating human flesh. The conclusion to the Matamoros Death Cult story. We pick up with the hunt and capture of the cult members, primarily their leader Adolfo Constanzo. This episode will largely focus on the death of Mark Kilroy, who was abducted by the members of the Matamoros Death Cult and sacrificed as part of a ritual. We’ll discuss Mark’s abuduction, murder, and what  happens when police forces, family and a community come together to catch those responsible. But this information is only the beginning. “The Baby Farmer.” “The Giggling Granny.” “The Soap-Maker of Correggio.” “The Granny Ripper.” These are the nicknames of Amelia Dyer, Nanny Doss, Leonarda Cianciulli, and Tamara Samsonova. Look at pictures of them and you might see smiling and gentle-looking elderly women. But there was nothing gentle about these women. All of them were brutal serial killers. They killed relatives, husbands…children. Some they ate, some they turned into bars of soap and sold. It’s as disturbing as it gets under the Black Umbrella. Come on in, the murder is fine.

So, what happens after we die? Unfortunately, there’s only one way to find out. Just in case tomorrow the earth is hit by gamma rays, might as well talk about some afterlife theories! Are we just part of a giant brain, and after death we become fecal matter? Is existence merely on repeat, and the life you have now is the life you’ll have for eternity? Are you destined to come back as a sentient ocean in another galaxy, or perhaps a come back as a dung beetle? Who knows?
