The Black & White FPL Podcast

It's been a minute but Alfie is finally back with a look towards GW22. Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland and Mo Salah are on the minds of all managers, but how do we pick our poison when it comes to the big lads of FPL? And if not them, who? We take a look at some other cheaper options that could be options instead of the pricier options. Jurgen Klopp has also announced his departure from Liverpool at the end of the season, so how may that impact the rest of their season and their performances? Finally, We take an in depth look at Crystal Palace's current state of Premier League Purgatory and what the future may hold if they do go down.

After a few pods off, a good GW16 see's Alfie back inside the top 250k with that all important wildcard in the pocket. On this pod, we take a look at some big teams that people should be keeping their ear to there ground with. Newcastle and Chelsea seem to be very on and off at the moment, but with Newcastle's home form and Chelsea's favourable next five games, is that enough for you to buy? Villa's title charge is irrefutable at this point, with Pau Torres, Watkins and Martinez all on radar. Finally, Bournemouth and Fulham are in some rare form and with Solanke and Jimenez cooking more than your mam on Christmas Day, are they worth a spot in your team?

It's red arrows all over for Alfie but one thing we don't do here at Black and White FPL is panic (jk i'm panicking). This week, we have a look at Alisson's injury and the opening that brings up for Kelleher, Matty Cash and whether we should sell him for other defensive options, as well as the current state of our forward lines and if Isak and Nunez are the best strikers to take forward for the upcoming weeks.

The dreaded international break is finally over but not without taking a toll on our fantasy squads. In this episode, we take a look at how to deal with multiple injuries in your squad (cos we know you have them), the ongoing dilemma of cheap midfielders and look at the ones you should be looking at going into this week, as well as Chelsea's recent resurgence and if the ever-loved Reece James is worth diving into before their good run starts in a few weeks time.

A gameweek famous for all the wrong reasons. Alfie recaps one of the single worst weeks of Fantasy Football in memory, with low scores everywhere you look. We take a look at how to keep calm after a bad week, whether Mbuemo and Eze are worth going to now they are regaining interest, as well as who to replaced for the many defenders with injuries and suspensions.

FPL has passed the 10 week mark and with the pack finally starting to split up a little bit, it's really time to get your head down and make some big ground up. This week, we have a look at whether Man United assets are still worth holding, even with their amazing three game run. Star man, Pedro Neto, picked up a knock against Newcastle, so who are the best replacements for the Portuguese winger? Finally, the cheap defender market is at a higher stock than it has ever been this season, so are 3 cheaper defenders the way to go?

Alfie is back and he's back in the top 100k. The Wildcarder's can't put him down and he's still got his in the chamber ready to let it off like a loaded LMG. On this week's pod, we look at if Mo Salah is now a do or die pick and if he's even worth taking a hit for. Brighton are back on the menu and we look at if Kaoru Mitoma should be the budget midfielder of choice compared to the likes of Bowen, Diaby and even Maddison. A lot of popular defenders have good games this week, so who should you be picking to start and keep the goals out this week? Finally, with plenty of captaincy options this week, who takes your armband when the likes of Salah, Son, Haaland, Saka and Watkins could all go huge?

After a flying start, Alfie's luck has caught up with him for one week, as he could hang with the wildcarders this week, as the rank took a big hit. However, as always, we move. We take a look at Kostas Tsimikas becoming an option again, due to Andy Robertson's recent injury, Crystal Palace and West Ham assets you should be keeping an eye on in the coming weeks, Sandro Tonali's recent betting scandal that could seem him banned from football for quite some time, as well as a little big of Twitter drama between a few FPL accounts over a silly little poll.

After baring witness to another green arrow and a Parisian pummelling last night, Alfie is flying high in the top 50k and is here to talk all things Wildcard. We take a look at all thing chip strategy, why people are and should be using the chip now, why you maybe should hold on for a few more weeks, as well as the players you should be targeting, if you are planning on reshuffling your pack of players. And for all you UCL fantasy players, I'd recommend selling Ousmane Dembele ;).
