This meditation is about lighting, I try to be objective knowing that some lighting solutions will be better for some than others, but there are objective differences, cost, energy usage, light penetration, and overall heat production that should be considered, and I try to focus there.

Aquaponics marries the recycling of biological fish waste with raising your own food. A word of warning this is not a system for someone with limited space, time, or budget. Also this is a labor intensive endeavor with many points of failure. I am doing this for the sake of being thorough, more than for the instructional value. 

That being said, this is a method, barring the negatives, to give you access to animal protein as a side effect of growing food.

As we proceed on our journey to food security, I felt that talking about different systems and how we can integrate them is putting the cart before the horse, planning should come first, and so here we are. In this meditation we are talking about growing plans and strategies for meeting your personal nutrition goals. In the fashion of this production I will lay out the what, why and how of a Growing Plan, and discuss options and my opinions in regard to them. I conclude the meditation with Planting Strategy, the concept of strategizing and prioritizing what to grow to more efficiently meet survival and community goals in regard to food production.
