The BLAZE (Bible Study)

Getting drunk with your family? -DJ SAMROCK

Nothing new! It's been done way before we knew of such a thing. God has spoken about it for us to see the consequences that that behavior produces. Take note of how many scriptures deal with drunkenness. Read them for yourself and ask the Lord to help you understand what is happening in our times.

(9) bible verses about today's Music

We know that music plays a huge part in the way the culture thinks and behaves. If you have not noticed than I challenge you to take a closer look around you. Music has always been a key to unlock the inner passion for lifestyles that are close to the genre that is being played. A passion to DJ was and still is heavily influential in my life as well as millions of others who listen to music daily. The music industry has changed so much in today's download and streaming environments. It is now easier than ever to become a giant in the industry on your own without a need for major backing.

God created music. It is part of who He is. I can prove it in and through His Word as we discover together (9) bible verses about today's music.

Who's the boss? -DJ SAMROCK

Even if we work in a non Christian environment we still can glorify God through our work ethics. There are so many scriptures that speak to work that it amazes me when I hear of a lazy Christian. Or, when I hear of a burned out minister. The question I start to ask myself is, who is the boss? From who are we getting our inheritance from? What are our days of rest? Hopefully you get where I'm going with this, if not take a listen and be blessed.

We All Fall Short -DJ SAMROCK

The bible speaks/talks/shows sin in many ways. In fact the Word of God says the wages of sin is death. Why are we not telling people that sin is what separates us from a Loving/Holy/Just God? My sin and your sin is the cause of sickness and death - OUCH!

More Than Today -DJ SAMROCK

A look at what the Word has to say about eternity. What you and I do today for Jesus matters for eternity. What I do today impacts my tomorrow. So, that means there's a lot more to life than what you see going on right now. Today I got an email from Sue Sundstrom that confirmed this bible study. She listed 25 distractions that will make us feel that Today is All We Have. These are a list of she calls Joy-Stealers:

1. Regret
2. Dread
3. Worry
4. Perfectionism vs excellence
5. A critical attitude
6. Complaining
7. Comparison and jealousy
8. Being ungrateful
9. Negative thinking
10. Unrealistic expectations
11. Entitlement mentality
12. Hurry sickness
13. Focusing only on the destination not the journey
14. Loneliness
15. Burnout
16.Materialism
17.Living vicariously through your children
18.Self neglect
19.People pleasing
20.Being someone you're not: masks
21.Living too cautiously
22. Putting your worth in what you do (performance orientation)
23.Guilt
24.Lack of purpose
25. Drivenness/striving vs healthy ambition
