The Blerd View

DC hasn't been the most consistent with movie releases, let alone GOOD movie releases, so The Suicide Squad wasn't something we were holding our breath on, even with James Gunn attached as director....But maybe we should have been? The squad takes a look at both the Ayers and Gunn cuts of the franchise and determines which version of Task Force X was the best, and how this new entry will affect DC Comic's DCEU in the long run.

The ladies got together to wrap up Women's History Month (3/31/21) with the achievements black women reached throughout the month. From the Grammy Awards to first responders, check out how these women are inspiring women and changing the game for all of us.

It takes a special kind of man to lead people astray with relationship advice he didn't follow, but then again, who better to teach a woman what to NOT tolerate than someone with the audacity to be that very wrong? We take a look at the fall of Derrick Jaxn, EX relationship guru, and how his most recently exposed sins at the hands of Tasha K. mark the end of his influencing career.

For Women's History Month we sat down with the twitch streamers of The Blerd View, Ashtheconqueror202 & Burningstar141 speaking on how they influence the gaming community, who inspires them, and MORE

We're kicking off International Women's History Month (International Women's Day is 3/8/21) by sitting down with former CW, but longstanding TV Writer, Producer, and fellow Blerd @nadriatucker to discuss being a black content creator in mainstream TV. She shares her experiences working for different networks & and the factors that made those shows & experiences different.  Piggybacking off of the latest The Blerd View episodes on the CW being trash, we spend some time discussing the controversy surrounding black narratives in media and then specifically in the superhero genre.  And of course, we had to get the scoop on what actually went down in the Superman & Lois Writer's Room. And listen, there are quire a few problematic "faves" discussed on this episode.  Tune in & stay tuned because we will definitely be bringing Nadria back to discuss some of her upcoming projects promoting positive & powerful black images in the media!  🎙: @thedccomics_fanatic & @burningstarofficial  •   •   • #womenshistorymonth #superman #supermanandlois #thecw #blackwriters #blacknerds #blerdgirl #blacksuperheroes #blacksuperheroesmatter #theblerdview #podcastersofinstagram #podcasters #podcasting #blackgirlmagic #blerdgirlmagic
