This is one of the most personal and raw episodes I’ve ever recorded.

In this episode of The Blind Exorcist, I sit down with my ex-wife Judy, and together we open up with honesty and vulnerability about what really happened in our marriage — how it slowly unraveled, the hidden spiritual warfare we didn’t recognize at the time, and how Satan worked behind the scenes to destroy what we thought would last forever.

From the outside, everything looked successful — nice home, nice cars, kids, good careers, solid members of our local church, even strong in faith — but behind closed doors, things were breaking down in ways we didn't understand.

We also talk about something that made the battle even harder — how the Western church failed us. Because we were taught that Christians couldn’t have demons, we didn’t even have a framework for what we were experiencing. The very place we expected clarity and help often left us confused, misdiagnosed, or without real answers in the middle of very real spiritual warfare.

But this isn't just a story about a marriage falling apart — it's a story about deliverance.

Through Jesus Christ, therapy, and deliverance, God met us in the middle of the destruction and brought freedom, healing, and restoration in our individual lives. Today, there’s no bitterness between us — only clarity, peace, and a restored intimacy with Christ.

Could a devoted Christian’s long-standing spiritual struggles be linked to generational curses from her Aboriginal ancestry?

When I talk about “Indigenous peoples,” I mean the original inhabitants of a region who have unique cultural and spiritual traditions. This includes Native Americans in the United States, First Nations peoples in Canada, Aboriginal Australians, and Māori communities in New Zealand. While each group is distinct, many share practices involving ancestor spirits, nature, and ceremonial rituals. I mention this so listeners can understand Yvonne’s story in a context that might feel familiar.

Yvonne grew up in Australia in a home marked by alcoholism, trauma, and deep family dysfunction. Both of her parents carried painful childhood experiences involving abusive alcoholic fathers. Like many families, the wounds did not begin with one generation. The trauma had been passed down through the family line for decades.

For most of her life another piece of the story remained hidden. Her family carried Aboriginal ancestry that had been deliberately kept secret because of racism in Australia. As a child she didn’t understand why she looked different from other students and was even teased about the darker color of her skin. The truth about her Aboriginal heritage would only surface much later in life.

Yvonne became a Christian at twelve years old and spent her life sincerely pursuing God. She went to university, became a high school teacher, worked in Christian schools, and even trained for ministry. She faithfully prayed, studied the Bible, attended conferences, and pursued counseling for the pain she carried from childhood.

Yet despite years of faith and spiritual discipline, the demonic oppression never completely lifted. The emotional pain remained, and eventually she began experiencing disturbing spiritual symptoms that led her to confront a possibility many Western Christians are rarely taught to consider — that generational curses and demonic oppression may still be affecting believers today.

During our conversation we also explore how ancestral spiritual practices are not unique to Australia. Many Indigenous cultures around the world share similar spiritual traditions involving ancestor spirits, animal spirits, nature spirits, dreaming/vision practices, and ceremonial rituals. Even when someone becomes a Christian and never practices these ancestral traditions themselves, spiritual doors opened in previous generations can still demonically affect later generations.

What happens when a massage therapist blends Reiki, crystals, and energy work into her sessions — believing she’s still a Christian?

Roxanne holds a psychology degree and spent 16 years working in the mental health field. After experiencing burnout in that environment, she sought a new career path and became a licensed massage therapist, hoping to continue helping people in a different way. 

Her desire to help others gradually drew her into becoming a Reiki Master and practicing pranic healing, chakra work, aura reading, soul retrieval, energy clearing, distant healing, and shamanic techniques. She immersed herself in meditation, drumming circles, ayahuasca (psychedelic plant medicine), bufo (psychedelic toad venom), protection rituals with crystals and salt, and various forms of Hindu, Buddhist, and Hare Krishna chanting. Identifying as an empath and deeply energy-sensitive, these modalities became the framework through which she understood healing and spirituality for more than two decades.

She wove many of these energy-based practices directly into her massage sessions. The peace felt real. The energy felt powerful. Clients left feeling better. But it didn’t last. Over time, something far more troubling began to surface.

Freak accidents every two to three years — putting her out of work for months at a time. Sleepless nights — jolted awake the moment she drifted off, sensing a presence entering her body, nearly two weeks with almost no rest, and paranormal phenomena happening around her. She tried everything she knew: crystals covering her bed, salt around the room, protection rituals, distant healings, clearing sessions. Nothing worked. Not one thing. When even the protection methods she trusted stopped working, she was forced to confront a deeper question she had avoided for years — how she could claim Christ while living fully immersed in a spiritual system rooted elsewhere.
