A few months ago, I saw Roto share some snippets of a side quest he'd been working on: Cyclemental, a take that party card game. I knew of Roto as an insane product designer at Atlassian and I knew of his talent in art, so I dove down the rabbit hole to see what Cyclemental was all about.

I'm lucky to have Roto join me in today's episode to catch up about life after I left Atlassian and what he's been up to: from saas apps, to vibe coding, to furniture, board games and kickstarter campaigns, he's had his hands full. Top that off with a 4month newborn baby and I just had to wonder how he was doing it all and what he was spending his time focused on.

I'm excited about Cyclemental - it's a strategy card game that can be played in short sessions, so it's going to be a hit with my friends I hope!

The woman with 9 lives, like a cat. I have been blessed to know Wendy aka wengie for a long time now, and I finally got her on the pod to debrief on the many lives she's lived across the past decade. Hi everyone! We're coming to you from a new studio space today - just trying it out at the moment and finding the place that works for us.

I've invited Anish into this space to speak about his journey over the past 2 years after leaving corporate tech to pursue music. Anish and I worked together at Atlassian a couple of years ago, and I've always known for him to be a self-starter and tinkerer, so when he told me he was leaving to pursue his passion in music - I was surprised at first. And even more than that, I was confused on why he decided to quite outright rather than take a sabbatical to pursue this passion (which a lot of people around us were doing at the time).

In this episode, we catch up on his mindset and where his journey has taken him in the last couple of years.

OK, it's time to reveal some of my secrets. Somehow, I've managed to land most of the jobs I've applied for and in this episode, I dissect why I think that is the case and how you might be able to apply some of my learnings in your future job interviews to get the offer. I'm a product manager in tech and have landed roles in places like Atlassian, Google, McKinsey and Canva.

I am also an introvert - so not a natural speaker and I get VERY nervous in interviews. But I think I've learnt over time what works and how to calm myself better, so that I can show my best.

I hope I can share some helpful tips for getting job offers and a glimpse as well from the other side of hiring.

This is a pretty personal episode and not one I'm happy to be in the position to create. Last year, I tore 3 of my 4 knee ligaments in a skiing accident, derailing a lot of my hopes and plans for my year before 30. At the same time, I had friends going through very similar situations.

6 months before me, Davo ruptured his achilles playing badminton. About 3 months after me, Elian tore his acl and meniscus playing Oztag.

We reflect on the various stages of our journey together, from the initial shock, pain and grief, to how we've slowly bounded back, getting reset at surgery, celebrating small wins and falling into the monotony of 1+ year journey of rehab.

This episode might not appeal to everyone, but for those who have suffered or are going through an injury at the moment; I hope this one is relatable and encouraging for you. We got this.

Feeling burnt out at work? In your mid to late 20s? Yeah, same.

In my funemployment break, I took some time to reflect on how I was feeling in my career and how I could prolong a refreshed, hopeful mind once I re-enter the workforce.

It can feel quite spoilt or privileged to talk about burn out, in a time where people are just trying to survive, get a job and earn a living. I'm thankful my experiences have exposed me to the other side, and I think many feel the same - now more than ever.

Singles Inferno S5 has concluded and we're still being FED with reunion episodes and social media updates. A couple of years ago, I brought in Cam & Tash to recap Singles Inferno S2 - can you believe it has been that long??
