Fred and AJ continue the second hour discussing Bill O’Brien and the Texans. The guys then discuss the parallels between LSU and the Texans, and the possibility of the Texans turning the organization around if they bring in outside talent to the coaching staff. Jerome Solomon from the Houston Chronicle joins the show to discuss the Texans. The guys finish off the hour with a story of betrayal by a family member during gem of the day.

The guys kick off the show talking about the Rockets and the Western Conference standings. They then pivot into whether or not the Texans organization is moving in the right direction. Fred and AJ also discuss the difference between being good during practice as opposed to delivering during game time. Bill O’Brien and the need to shake things up is next on the list of things to talk about on the show.

The guys start off the show by talking about the Astros controversy. This is a short hour because of the Texas A&M basketball game that is about to come on between them and LSU. They also talked about the sign stealing and also Astros firing AJ Hinch because of it.

The guys start off the first hour by talking about the National Championship and the targeting call. The targeting call was a big controversy for the game because Clemson’s top defensive player, James Skalski, got ejected from the game and they are debating whether the call was targeting or not. They then transition to talking about the Carolina Panthers. They discuss where quarterback Cam Newton will play next season, since he will be a free agent and he is coming off an injury with a sprained foot. Around the end of the show they interviewed Texas A&M’s head basketball coach Buzz Williams about their win against Vanderbilt and the way they’re playing going into conference play.

Fred and AJ spend the last half hour of the show talking about the Texans loss to the Chiefs and the Astros punishment from MLB; they hear from listeners about their concerns for both franchises.

Brad Powers joins the guy about halfway through the hour to breakdown the lines of all the upcoming NFL playoff games. RJ is conspicuously absent. Lastly is stupid stuff we said this week. In the second hour the guys get into some MLB hall of fame voting which naturally leads back to the steroids and PED discussion. Fred acknowledges he would definitely do them if he had the chance. The guys also get into the top 100 “Texas” iconic things then break down what it will take for the Titans to beat the Ravens. The Gem of the day leads to some interesting discussion about joining the mile high club.

The guys start off the first hour with a tribute to Neal Peart and Fred gets a little emotional about his passing which somehow detours to AJ’s love for country music. The guys are live at Sam Houston Race Park so Chris Griffin joins the show for a little horse racing talk followed by some NFL. No one actually thinks the Texans even have a chance this weekend.

Hour 3 kicks off with a little entertainment talk as the guys have completely exhausted all sports subjects. What kind of game show should the guys start up and would Gilbert co-star? Former Las Vegas Sportsbook director Raphael Esparza also joins the guys midway through the hour to talk about the lines for this weekend’s NFL action. At the end of the hour the guys get a surprise call from Granato !
