The Skirlings treat Cassie, Sly, Memyselfandi and Assam to a bountiful feast replete with traditional song. But a tragic misunderstanding turns the festivities dark.

As luck would have it, the Skirlings chance upon Cassie, Jet, Sly, Memyselfandi and Assam. But their reputation as hostile warriors seems unfounded when they provide a tour of their encampment and invite them to an exquisite banquet.

Cassie, Jet, Sly, Memyselfandi and Assam encounter what appears to be an insurmountable obstacle. Then a strange traveler arrives who steers them farther into the unknown.

As they journey across the desert, Assam tells Cassie, Sly and Memyselfandi a little more about himself. Eventually, they come to a fork in the path where they must choose between two ways, each one posing its own risks.

Even though Cassie, Jet, Sly and Memyselfandi are desperate to escape, the limits of their endurance are tested by Assam’s crazy plan.

Just when Cassie thinks she’s seen it all she meets yet another exceptional creature. Cassie and her friends explain their predicament to the stranger who promises he can help them escape––at a price.

The freight train they hopped to get away from the toxic chain arrays speeds across the desert, too fast to jump off. Cassie, Jet, Sly and Memyselfandi are captive until the train stops in a place where they are most definitely not welcome!

With the Icemen in hot pursuit Cassie, Jet, Sly and Memyselfandi are forced to cross a perilous river to escape. But there’s something very wrong on the far side and it’s making them sick!

Venturing into the Valley of the Narsies, Cassie, Jet, Sly and Memyselfandi are seized and suspected of poaching the Count’s villa. Then, in the midst of hosting the Janus Event, the Count and his guests are set upon by unwelcome visitors.

Memyselfandi tells Cassie and Sly the story of how he came to be stranded on top of The Great Barrier for so long.
