The concept of saying "no" as a complete sentence can be so empowering. Especially since many of us grew up feeling like we had to be kind and put the requests of others in front of our own.

During college, she began to study the connection between physical health and mental health through the field of psychobiology. After graduation, she continued to pursue her dream of becoming a physician at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. She completed her residency in Ob/Gyn at George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Dr. Gaskins-Tillett has worked in several practices in the Baltimore metropolitan area where she has had the privilege of meeting women’s healthcare needs throughout their lives. A significant portion of her career has been dedicated to caring for women in underserved communities. She has special interests in reducing maternal mortality, ending health disparities and cultivating wellness through mind, body and spirit health. Dr. Gaskins-Tillett is currently on staff at University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She is also a medical director for an international managed care corporation.

She resides in Anne Arundel County MD with her husband, Stephen, and their daughter, Sophia.
