Values 5 and 6 have everything to do with investing and ownership. Are you ready to invest into the Kingdom and God’s people? The only way to is to be an owner, not a renter.

We continue discussing the values of our church and define the behaviors we hope to carry and practice as followers of Jesus and individuals at The Block Church.

Every church should have the same overarching mission (make disciples), but every church should have a different way (or place) of transporting that particular mission. We call the values and language of an organization, it’s culture. Culture is the vehicle in which we transport this specific mission.

A new season means a fresh start, a new opportunity to do things well and to do things right. God is the KING of fresh starts, do-over’s, and new beginnings. God builds on what we’ve done and starts new on what seems over. It’s a new season!

Our humanity reveals His majesty and His majesty redeems our humanity.

We can’t accomplish our purpose if we don’t keep our passion. It’s both easy and natural to forget what matters most. We can do things without love, but eventually we become empty and powerless. Our purpose hinges on our passion and our passion is connected to our faith. So to stay in love, we have to move in greater faith.

We are often afraid of the irrational, unreasonable, uncomfortable, and unbelievable. We don’t want to hurt or lack (that’s fair), but there’s usually a God-purpose in the midst of misunderstanding and difficulty. God doesn’t deal in reason; He works from purpose.

Life is full of unexpected scenarios. And when we are attempting to accomplish our purpose, the unexpected can throw us off. BUT what if you knew what was coming or what if in the midst of the unexpected, you knew what to do? The Holy Spirit can tell us what to do now and how to be prepared for the future, He knows the weather.

We’ve all been there – frustrated that what we’re doing isn’t working. When we started, we had all the energy, passion, but over time … we lose vision for a variety of reasons, we get distracted. There’s no difference regarding the purpose of the church, we have to get undistracted so we can accomplish all Jesus has purposed us to be.

You might be wondering, “Am I good enough to accomplish my purpose or am I disqualified”? The reality is you're not good enough, but God qualifies us. We find our identity and purpose starting with knowing who we are in Jesus.
