Welcome on in! Time has been short as of late, but I wanted to post at least a quick check-in of the past two weeks ("Driftmark" and "Lord of the Tides"). Two very strong episodes of television. Longer episodes will be coming in the future, but for now, we do what we can. And we're grateful for it.

Lord of the Tides marks itself as the best episode of House of the Dragon to date. And perhaps one of the best episodes within the greater Game of Thrones universe. Paddy Considine appears well on his way to an Emmy and Alicent misinterprets prophecy. It'll bite your -redacted- off every time.

Welcome on in! This is the return of The Blood of the Podcast! We return to the world of Westeros with the new installment of House of the Dragon. Very excited to be back doing weekly review episodes of the show. It's just so fun being back in Westeros, and we hope you are enjoying it as well.

The first scene following the prologue introduces the reader to our main set of protagonists: House Stark. The deserter from the prologue, Garad, has been caught. The punishment for desertion in the North is simple: Death.

We jump into the final scene of the prologue from A Game of Thrones, a scene that descends straights from the authors background as a horror writer as he introduces the ultimate threat of his magnum opus: The White Walkers.

I had the Game of Thrones intro song way cut down originally, but I just never liked how it cut off. The first time I came to this scene and this story, the full intro played directly after the epic cold open of this scene. So, full intro song it is.
