2. What is one thing you'd like to see "reformed" in the RPCNA (whether an official position held by the church or just something that is prevalent and unspoken)? 

 

3. What is Sheol and what is Abraham's Bosom? Where do people go when they die? Does that differ from the OT to NT? 

 

4. How do you respond to criticism as a pastor, specifically about your preaching (not constructive feedback). 

 

5. How do you respond to someone who says that you have to take David's writings with a grain of salt. I've heard this come up a few times recently. Usually you hear the objections go something like, "David may have been called a man after God's own heart, but he also lived very inconsistently with scripture (murder, adultery, polygamy, etc..). He also writes passages that seem to contradict other portions of scripture (probably a reference to imprecatory psalms), and while he laments, his theology isn't always correct because it's an expression of his grief, etc...

1. Is the Pope the antichrist? 

 

2. How does your personal "devotional time" differ from your sermon preparation/family worship preparation? What does it look like and what are your habits?

 

3.. What is a passage of scripture that has nourished your soul recently?

 

4. Should Christians be tired? I heard someone say the other day that they don't believe the Christian life should be exhausting because "His yolk is easy and his burden is light." There was discussion about Paul's encouragement to "not grow tired of doing good." There was discussion about "Christian books making you feel like a failure and you need to be doing "all these things" in order to be faithful to the Lord." Also, the litany of radical statements that Jesus makes in the gospel that are attainable in human strength. I don't know how to phrase this question. How should Christians view tiredness, feeling like they're not "doing enough", leaning on the Lord for strength and not relying on their own abilities, striving to live obediently, etc...

2. What does Christian community look like for Pastors? Do you have "bros"? Is it challenging to establish authentic friendships while being the pastor?

 

3. In your episode with one of your guests, he implied that pastors "burn out" because they are not actually "called" to the pastorate. How do you know if you are called to the pastorate? How did you know? Is it similar to any other prompting of the spirit? 

 

4. Is it important to establish relationships with other Gospel preaching churches in your area of differing faith traditions? What does that look like? How can you partner together for the sake of the Gospel?

 

5. What is the biggest lie that you think mainstream evangelicalism has bought, hook, line and sinker? What has been/will be the fruit of believing this lie?
