Commander Paul Szych started his thirty-year law enforcement career in the Metro Detroit Area prior to joining the Albuquerque Police Department. Upon being promoted to Sergeant, he assumed command of APD’s Domestic Violence and Stalking Unit. Over the following eight years, he supervised more than 1,850 high-lethality domestic violence and stalking-related threat mitigation cases, focusing on “predict and prevent” ideology. During those eight years, Cmmdr. Szych’s Unit experienced zero victim losses through the full implementation of the Dynamic Stalking Intervention® model, which Cmmdr. Szych developed. Cmmdr. Szych has also supervised detectives in homicide, robbery, burglary, auto theft, bait car operations and Title III wiretap multi-jurisdictional major case investigations. Cmmdr. Paul Szych is a nationally recognized stalking, domestic violence, & threat mitigation.

Bob is a former New Mexico State Representative and U.S. Diplomat with the U.S. Department of State, currently serving as Honorary Consul for Germany in New Mexico. He attended Albuquerque Public Schools and earned a B.A. in Government from Pomona College and an M.S. in Healthcare Management from the University of Maryland. Bob's career spans entrepreneurship and consulting across healthcare, cybersecurity, and renewable energy, and founded New Mexico Open Elections—an organization that helped advance primary-election reform in New Mexico in 2025. Bob serves as the New Mexico Forward Party Chair.

The Duke City Marathon is coming soon!! Burt Tremblay joins the Morning Show to share the details. The Duke City Marathon course starts at Mayor Kinney Civic Plaza in downtown Albuquerque. Harry Kinney was Albuquerque's mayor in 1984, and officially started the first Duke City Marathon together with the 15th Duke of Alburquerque (the original Spanish spelling), who traveled from Madrid, Spain, to be on hand for the inaugural event.

Maralyn Beck is the Founder and Executive Director of New Mexico Child First Network, New Mexico’s only nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children in foster care and empowering those who serve them. Maralyn is a former single foster parent, having personally fostered over 39 children, aging from newborn to 17. Maralyn has played an integral role in the ongoing efforts to reform New Mexico’s child welfare system, the foster care system, and the Plan of Safe Care law for substance-exposed newborns. She has previously worked for New Mexico’s governor, the state legislature, and Albuquerque Public Schools' communications department. Maralyn co-founded Rise New Mexico to educate, unite, and inspire other local female leaders.

Lisa Curtis is a an Albuquerque attorney, business owner, and community leader, who has spent more than 30 years representing New Mexico families.
Lisa has long been active in her community. A graduate of Sandia High School and the UNM School of Law, Lisa grew up in the Northeast Heights, raised her family here, and her parents still live in House District 31.
For 20 years, Lisa has led the L.K. Curtis Children’s Fund, supporting education, advocacy, and programs that improve the lives of New Mexico kids. From 2020 to 2025, Lisa chaired the New Mexico Commission on the Status of Women.
Lisa is a mother of four and a grandmother, she still lives in the neighborhood where she grew up.
