Alan T. Martinez is a lifelong New Mexican, having grown up in Northern New Mexico and living in the Metro area for the last 34 years, first in Albuquerque and now in Sandoval County. Alan was involved in small business in Espanola and Albuquerque before starting his career with the New Mexico Department of Veteran Services (NMDVS), where he served Veterans and their families for over 25 years. He started with NMDVS as a file clerk in 1993 and ended his career as the Deputy Secretary and Legislative Director in December 2018. Alan was elected by his peers to serve the House Republican Caucus as the Minority Whip in May 2023 and serves the caucus in this leadership position.
