Dai Henwood is a household name in New zealand, best known for his work as a comedian, TV presenter, and of course the fearless leader of Team 2 on the hit show “7 Days”.
He was the winner of the prestigious ‘Billy T Award’ in 2002, and is the only comedian to win “The Fred Award” twice, which recognises the best New Zealand show in the NZ International Comedy Festival. He has gone on to host shows such as “Dancing with the Stars”, and “Family Feud”.
In this podcast, we dive into Dai’s journey through comedy. From a young kid that was always having a laugh, to regularly entertaining audiences all around the world. We talked about the ins and outs of 7 Days and the impact it has had for families across New Zealand, the importance of community, lessons we wished we learnt at school, as well as some honest insights into Dai’s own struggles.
