The Bold Foundation Podcast took a long pause. After Part 1 was released, Lauren suffered an unimaginable health crisis. I did not feel right about releasing her 2nd part while this was happening.
Lauren was preparing for a sourdough bread making class she was offering when she suddenly collapsed in her home due to cardiac arrest. Thankfully, friends just so happened to have arrived for the class early and paramedics were reached and arrived quickly. Despite the quick response, Lauren’s condition was serious. She was placed on a life saving ventilator and was placed in ICU. She ended up requiring surgery during her hospital stay but I’m happy to share she is now home recovering.
There are a lot of life adjustments that are being made to help with Lauren’s health - including giving up her job of caretaking babies and toddlers. If you can, please help Lauren, her husband and children by donating to their go fund me as they are navigating this sudden change. As for PART 2, I’m proud to share the remainder of her recorded story. Listen in to hear about:
💗Understanding that everyone is walking through something. No one’s perfect
💗Embracing life’s challenges as powerful lessons
💗It’s my life and I’m going to take control
💗Worrying about what others think will only hold you back
💗Searching for your people and place vs being confident in who you are
💗The importance of letting your kids see that you make mistakes and it’s ok
💗Breaking generational cycles with allowing open communication
💗You can judge me from my past but that’s not who I am
💗When and how to let people fall
💗Addiction = Avoidance
💗How healthy habits can turn into unhealthy obsessions
💗Confidence is beautiful
💗and more
Lauren’s story isn’t done. She’s clearly a fighter. A survivor. I can’t wait to see all the mountains she’ll continue to climb.
