Today on the podcast we're talking about a topic that I get asked about quite frequently: the ideas of 'ease', 'easy', and 'hard'.
I want to move beyond the soundbites and go deeper in this show to help others gain context and clarity. One way I do that is by being careful with letting things seem easy and even using the word easy. In reality, ease does not mean easy. Ease means being efficient, focused, and strategic in deciding what works for you.
So listen in to hear my take on 'ease', 'easy', and 'hard' and then tell me: When have you confused ease with easy? When was the last time you were surprised by something you thought would be hard? Head over to Instagram and leave me a comment, I want to know.

Here’s a not-so-secret tip I shared with my daughter as we entered this new decade:
We get to keep and document the memories and lessons from each year, and they're like steps where one year of growth leads to the next year of growth. If we are good stewards of our history, each year gets better and better. We learn how to cultivate more of the things that we want and let go of the things that we didn't enjoy.
So let me ask you, what have you noticed about the last year, the last five years, or the last ten years? What has that taught you? I’m sharing what they have taught me in this week’s new podcast episode where I “Debrief A Decade.”

Business is business, period.
Whether you're selling online or off, knowing the foundations of business and what really matters is where leaders make an impact.
I've noticed that business owners have been completely bombarded with tips, tricks, tactics, hacks, smoke and mirrors, and promises all over the internet that distract them from the very basics that make a difference for the bottom line.
This has led me to come up with this specific set of trends that I think we will see in 2020 and I’m sharing them with you on the podcast now. Take a listen and then add your own trends you think we’ll see this year.

When you see my monthly debrief come up on this podcast, I'm hoping that triggers you to do the same. Of course, we're also going to be giving you some tools and resources to help you with your own debrief too.

This is the time of year where everyone is celebrating goals met and a job well done, as they should. Celebrating wins is a powerful and potent habit. I believe the more you win, well, the more you win. Finding those accomplishments on a macro and micro level every day keep you moving forward with unrelenting forward momentum. This is how you train momentum. But as much as I'm here for the wins and what's working, I'm here for the struggle. Listen in and let me explain, because I know this is a point that can be easily misunderstood.

100 episodes is a milestone worth celebrating for the Bold Leadership Revolution!
Listen as Tara, Jo, and Stacey (the original behind-the-scenes team) discuss their growth and how this podcast has changed over 100 episodes.
Back in the summer of 2017, Tara and Jo were brainstorming, developing, and project planning the podcast which launched in October of 2017, and Stacey actually did marketing strategy. Now, everybody is back! Here we are a little more than two years later. Stacey is director of marketing, she is also the producer of this fine podcast, and Jo has recently come on board as content researcher and writer because we are going to be taking this podcast to its next level.

In episode 99 I shares a behind the scenes look at 2020.
Before we start racing off into the new year and a new decade, I wanted to get us grounded in what you can expect from me on The Bold Leadership Revolution podcast this year.
Today I wanted to do something that feels really bold and share my heart with you. I wanted to strip back some of the layers, and let you into my innermost thoughts where I keep my greatest hopes and dreams. Some of you probably expect that I have my goals all neatly mapped out, tasks on post-its and ready to go. Because you know me, you know I'm a planner, and equal parts strategic and discerning.
However, that's not the complete story, and that is not what I'm going to be sharing with you today. So by sharing my story, and where I am right now sort of in the messy bits of goal setting, it is always my hope that you feel less alone in the pursuit of the more you are looking for.

It's day five of journaling for vision, clarity, and abundance, and we're bringing this thing home today. I can't tell you how many times I hear from people that journaling feels like not doing anything. It feels like it lacks action. They don't know what to do with the pages that they've journaled. What do I do with all of this once I've written it out? So day five, today, it's about bringing it all together with a final question. So grab that journal that we are making a habit of opening 20 minutes a day and we are going to bring this home.

Like in previous days, pull out your journal, get your favorite pens. This is about creating that habit of getting into your journal for 20 minutes a day. This is where you are going to describe, today is where you're going to describe what success looks like in whatever area you decided to focus on. Whether it's career, physical environment, personal growth, money, family, friends, et cetera. This is where we're going to start to really take a look at what it looks like when it's done. While we said this was a focus area for 90 days, I really want you to create a larger vision for this focus area. What does success look like in a year? I want you to look at what is successful like in a year. And then you can look at what success looks like over the next 90 days and really create that first glimpse of a milestone.

Welcome to day three of the Journaling for Vision, Clarity and Abundance training. Today I want to talk to you about your reasons or your why. Why is the focus area you chose yesterday so important to you? And I know it is because I forced you to make a choice. I didn't let you choose three things. I said you could only choose one thing.
So when you narrow your focus in that way, I know how important that focus is going to be. So today we're talking about your reasons and your why and again, feel free, take out your journal. This is about creating that daily habit of opening your journal for 20 minutes a day.
