We discuss three papers on Fracture Related Infections including:

1. General treatment principles for fracture-related infection: recommendations from an international expert group (PMID: 31659475)

2. Effect of intrawound vancomycin powder in operatively treated high-risk tibia fractures: A randomized clinical trial (PMID: 33760010)

3. A machine learning algorithm to identify patients with tibial shaft fractures at risk for infection after operative treatment (PMID: 33394819)

We're joined by senior author Willem-Jan Metsemakers and consultant surgeon Deepa Bose as we discuss this area of high importance.
