We’re continuing our study of the Book of Acts into Chapter 2. This Chapter is good news for us, and we learned last semester that the word “Gospel” actually means Good News! It is important for us to look at and learn from this, and the beginnings of the very first church, as we are a part of the current Church of Christ today!

“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” Acts 2:1-4, NIV

1. Read Acts 3-4 at least once in the coming week. 
2. Read 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 and the listed notes above about each gift. Have you considered your spiritual gifts? If you’ve been through River Valley’s Welcome Home class and know your gifts, how are you using them? If you don’t know yours, seek a leader's guidance about how to take a spiritual gifts test, then pray through how to use them actively.
