The Book of Acts Week 9 | What is the World Looking For?

Since the beginning of time, people have tried to search for the meaning of life and find

truth in this world. Although the world can seem lost and chaotic, now more than ever, God wants to use Christians to proclaim truth in this world. Today, truth is relative. It is searched for in just about anything and everything. You believe that, I will believe this. So, How do we make God known today, in our culture, where people are pursuing truth in so many other avenues?

“So Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, ‘Men of Athens, I see that you are very religious in all respects. For while I was passing through and examining the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription, “TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.” Therefore, what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and everything that is in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made by hands; nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things…’” Acts 17:22-25, NASB
