You need to understand something about the God you serve, because I believe far too many Christians have lost sight of just how great He really is. Think about the things you're facing right now, the circumstances that seem impossible, and the people or situations that appear to have all the power. What if I told you that Isaiah 40 reveals something so extraordinary about the LORD that it should completely change the way you look at every one of those things? This is something you need to hear, and I don't want you to miss it.

What we do today will have consequences long after we are gone. Isaiah 39 gives us a sobering warning about what happens when we become comfortable with the present and fail to think seriously about those who come after us. The next generation is coming quickly, and the question is whether we are preparing them for what they will face.

Isaiah 34 reveals a terrifying day when the patience of God gives way to judgment, the armies of this world discover how powerless they truly are, and the LORD settles His controversy over Zion. What unfolds reaches far beyond one ancient nation and points directly to a coming confrontation that no government, military, or world leader will be able to stop. Every Christian needs to understand what is coming and why God has warned the world in advance.

Isaiah 35 reveals what the world will look like when Jesus Christ returns and establishes His kingdom upon the earth. The wilderness will blossom, the desert will rejoice, the blind will see, the deaf will hear, the lame will leap, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. In this verse by verse teaching, we examine the glorious kingdom that follows the judgment of the Tribulation. We will also see how the miracles Jesus performed during His earthly ministry identified Him as the promised Messiah and provided a preview of the restoration He will ultimately bring. The darkness surrounding our world is real, but it is not the end of the story. The redeemed have a future filled with holiness, security, worship, and everlasting joy under the reign of Jesus Christ.

The world has grown comfortable with evil because judgment often appears delayed, but that delay will not last forever. The highest authority in the universe is preparing to act, and when He does, every counterfeit source of power, security, and justice will collapse. What Isaiah reveals about that moment is both terrifying and deeply encouraging, and every Christian needs to understand what is coming.
