Welcome to the audio document of my conversational collision with Discriminate Audio label head, artist behind the incredible Unborn Ghost... Author and biographer. Modern Drunkard and rational thinker. WE traverse the expanse of his creative output, mine the ore of his psyche, and rejoice in the libidinous chaos of life.

There are many, many white guys out there in the United States of America named Brian Clark; and even a few Brian M. Clarks as well. This particular Brian M. Clark is an avocational musician and writer, lover of cheap beer, and resident of scenic Denver, Colorado.

Discriminate Audio is an independent record label that was founded in 2004 and is based in Denver, Colorado, USA. We generally focus on releasing retrospective anthologies of music by solo artists and duos rather than one-off, filler-padded albums by traditional rock bands. Discriminate Audio's current roster of recording artists comprises: Ralph Gean, Unborn Ghost, Little Fyodor, The Unpop Sound, Brian M. Clark, Chthonic Force, and Giddle & Boyd.
The Discriminate Audio "vampire" logo was illustrated by Glenn Smith and is copyrighted by Discriminate Audio.

We are back from my self imposed exile (via a rather aggressive viral blight), and we are bringing Dan from Broken Hearts Are Blue with us! BHAB began as a Midwest Emo group, infusing elements of indie rock along the way, their new album, "Meeting Themselves", is a full on evolution. In this episode that very switch is discussed, along with the joys of parenting, the dread that comes with the rise of Neo-Fascism, the dynamics of a group that had begun as very young men, and the beauty in exploration of sound.

Tonight, on a special Saturday episode, we speak with our old friend Dez of Lesser Care about the recently released digital EP "Face Turn", the teaser for upcoming album "Heel Turn". Having been in the can for 2 years, the record was fully self funded and released, produced, mixed, and engineered by the man with "God-like Ears" - Phillip Odom, and mastered by the great Will Yip. This album is on my early short list for record of the year.
Dez and I delve into the MO of the group the reasons why the record was unreleased for almost 24 months, the fact that LP 3 is already finished, being your own brand, and the lingering presence of the grim reaper. Cameo by my son, Canaan Peter Tanski!

We are back, and debuting on our new night and time. Right now, we'd like to introduce the purveyor of Midwestern Sorrow, the emcee responsible for mingling the essences of emotional Hardcore, Native Tongues and Golden Age Hip Hop, the one and only Tino.
Tino is a fiercely independent, stridently DIY artist that drops his own merch, creates his own music, and does it all with an air of deadly resolve. This conversation is the perfect yin and yang, the heavy with the light, the silly and the soulful.

enough. is a podcast centering on surviving abuse, harassment, and assault in the music scene. That is the header and mission statement at the top of the podcast's website. Rich Gill and Kendra Sheetz, at no small risk to their own mental well being, sit down to unpack the stories of the brave people that choose to tell their stories in every episode, shining a light into the darkness of sexual impropriety and assault.
"This is enough.
We aim to shine light into the darkened corners of the music industry while discussing the ways we can and should improve ourselves and, in turn, our community.
If you have been on the receiving end of harm from someone: be it artist, venue owner, audience member, or someone else and would like to share your story on a future episode, please reach out to us.
We are enough.
Ed Hamell of Hamell on Trial has been the first name in Punk informed "Anti-Folk" for over 30 years. In the 1990's he signed with Ani DiFranco's Righteous Babe Records, which garnered more fans and accolades, but "Bring The Kids" is a perfect example of why Hamell still stirs the hearts and minds of his staunchly loyal fanbase. It is a statement of dissatisfaction with the political, social, and subconscious. It is an album of love and hate songs, Punk and folk songs, electronic and acoustic songs. It has as much in common with Pete Seeger as it does with Husker Du, the Beastie Boys, and Portishead. It gleans from all it finds sonically interesting and then reinvents it for it's own ends. This is the penultimate Hamell record, you lucky dogs.
