  • MOTHER TONGUE.
Tonight ,on The Bows programming as we just celebrated the International Women's Day (IWD) 2023, we talk about MOTHER TONGUE.Mother tongue displays the roots & cultural identity of the speaker. It must not be erased.I personally teach my daughters IBO IZUGBE (central Ibo) as I want my kids to be proud of their roots.Despite my ability to speak Igala, Efik,Hausa,Yoruba,Spanish& French,Iam proud to be of the Igbo extraction and I speak, write and read ibo.The ability to speak your mother tongue enables you to be well equiped to trigger sustainable developmednt (via literacy & other actions of micro sustainability) in your locality and thereby achieve the UN SDG 4 .We use this opportunity to state clearly that The Bow does big fact checking prior to production.

  • YOUR WASTE,OUR WORK.
Tonight ,on The Bow ,we present a fuse of THE WASTEAGE SERIES & THE WORK IT SERIES called Your Waste,Our Work.
For over 2 weeks, the vendors that remove waste at IG of Police residents region of Maitama had not removed waste so the area was smelling real bad.I caught up with them today 30 January 2023 by 10:00am to express my own shock at this development. The team lead of the waste removers told me that the delay in waste removal is that there is a lot of waste removal trucks at Hulumi Goza dump site Abuja(after Idu Railway Station) waiting for their turn to offload Abujas waste.I asked him why they dont want to try Abujas 2nd waste dump site at Karishi and he told me that the Navy Officers there dont allow them to dispose waste at this 2nd waste dump site approved by AEPB(Abuja Environmental Protection Board) and Satellite Town Development Agency(STDA). The Hulumi Goza Dump site is a massive site where young Nigerias have employed themselves in rapid recycling. However, the truth remains that Abuja needs a recycling plant.

  • THE 2023 CENSUS IN NIGERIA.
Tonight ,on The Bow ,we disrupt our regular programming. Instead of THE WASTEAGE SERIES, we move ahead to more pressing developmental priorities in Nigeria at the moment:2023 Census In Nigeria. A World Bank report on google shows that as of 2020,Nigerias population was 206Million.
However,we discussed with a National Population Commission(NPC) staff who explained that this is going to be unique as its going to be a digital census(which will run from 29 March to 1April 2023). This 5th national census since Nigerias independence(and next census after the last one took place in 2006) will define sustainable development at all levels in Nigeria .
