This chapter shows us how Henry has decided to enter the Free-for-all race. He thinks it should be fun to do the race and thinks about how the second half of the mile is most important so he starts off slowly. After the first while re realizes he can run easily and so he decides to see how fast he can run. Henry quickly starts passing the six runners in front of him and the crowd starts cheering for him. As he has only one more person to pass he hears the crowd and decides he is going to win the race. As he crosses the finish line the crowd goes wild and he gets his prize and trophy.
