The Boxing Source Radio Show returns as we will be looking towards the rematch of Andre Ward and Sergey Kovalev for the IBF, WBA, and WBO light heavyweight championships. What will be the factors in this matchup between the two, and which fighter has the most pressure coming into the fight? We'll have a take on both of those questions in the podcast.

The summer is underway and there are a couple of key fights that will be coming up in the next month. Mikey Garcia will move up to the 140 pound division to face Adrien Broner, and Chris Eubank Jr moves up to the super middleweight division to face Arthur Abraham for the IBO title. Not only that, but the IBF super welterweight title will be on the line as Jarrett Hurd defends it against Austin Trout. These fights will be discussed and more in this episode of the show.

The IBF welterweight title fight was a good fight between Kell Brook and Errol Spence Jr. and we came out with a new champion. We will go through a few things about that fight and ask a few questions surrounding it.

There were a few more fights that took place that weekend including Orlando Salido taking on Aristides Perez in his birthplace in Mexico, plus the WBA super middleweight title fight between George Groves and Fedor Chudinov. We'll get into what happened in those fights as well.

Looking forward to the next few weeks, the light heavyweight division will be featured as all of the champions will be fighting as Adonis Stevenson faces Andrej Fonfara again on June 3rd and the rematch between Andre Ward and Sergey Kovalev will be on June 17th. On the undercard of Stevenson-Fonfara II, the top contender spot for the WBC title will be on the line as Eleider Alvarez faces Jean Pascal.

This weekend was probably one of the most active weekends in the sport this year as there were a bunch of fights going on in different locations across the globe. Terence Crawford defended his super lightweight titles in Madison Square Garden against Felix Diaz, Gary Russell Jr. defended his featherweight title against Oscar Escandon in the DC area, Naoya Inoue put the WBO super flyweight title on the line against Ricardo Rodriguez in Japan, and Gervonta Davis defended the IBF super featherweight title against Liam Walsh in London. We review all of these fights one by one and we would like to get your reactions to it all...

...now that doesn't mean that we won't cover the most talked about story of the weekend which involved Andre Dirrell and Jose Uzcategui. The host of the show was at MGM National Harbor when it happened and will give his take on what led to the punch by Leon Lawson, Jr. who is the uncle of the Dirrell brothers. You will not want to miss this part of the show.

There have been a few announcements within the boxing world as people are still coming off what has happened on May 6th in Las Vegas. We go through those notes in the first segment of the show.

Next weekend, the MGM National Harbor will have a fight card featuring Gary Russell, Jr. against Oscar Escandon and Rances Bathelemy and Andre Dirrell will be on that card. At the same time, Terence Crawford will be defending his super lightweight titles against Felix Diaz and Olympian Shakur Stevenson will have his 2nd pro fight on that card. Earlier in the day, Gervonta Davis will defend his IBF super featherweight title against Liam Walsh in England. We will preview all of the major fights and more in this episode.

This week's episode has a lot to cover as there was a big event in Las Vegas as two of the most famous Mexican fighters in the sport went against each other plus a few unercard fights that involved notable fighters. We cover that plus what happened after the main event.

On Friday night, we saw an upset in the sport as Yuriokis Gamboa lost to Robinson Castellanos by TKO...does this pose as a signal to be the end of Gamboa's career?

In the next couple of weeks, there will be a few title fights on slate including Gervonta Davis against Liam Walsh, Terence Crawford against Felix Diaz, Gary Russell Jr. against Russell Escandon, among others. We preview some of those fights and what else is in the near future for the favored fighters.

The boxing world is still talking about the heavyweight championship fight between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko. These two guys gave us what is being called one of the best heavyweight fights within a decade. We go in depth about this fight, the result, and what's in store for both fighters.

We will also catch up on some other news in the sport as there will be a big fight in Las Vegas on Saturday as Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will face each other. Canelo may be favored, but there is word that Chavez Jr. is getting prepared for this fight like no other fight in his career.

The week's episode covers the super lightweight unification fight between Ricky Burns and Julius Indongo that was in the UK and also what Sullivan Barrera was able to do at the Mohegan Sun Casino against Paul Parker.

Updates in the boxing world will also be covered, including the lawsuit that has been made by Dominic Breazeale against Deontay Wilder. What will that mean for both fighters?

We also look ahead to the welterweight fight between Shawn Porter and Andre Berto in Brooklyn and who the favorite will be for the fight.

The DC area was the focus of the boxing world for many as a card that featured three Ukranian boxers including Vasyl Lomachenko was at the MGM National Harbor on Saturday night. We will get into these fights and what people are saying about the results of each fight in depth tonight.

After the fights, there was a buzz in the casino as two fighters in the junior lightweight division were chatting it up with each other as Tevin Farmer and the IBF champion Gervonta Davis went at it verbally for a while. Will this lead to a fight in the future? Is it even worth it for either fighter?

A few key fight cards will be ahead of us in the month of April in the sport, starting with the one that includes Vasyl Lomachencko and Oleksandr Usyk in the Washington DC area. We will get into that plus the talk about Lomachencko and his skill level being compared to legendary fighters of yesteryear.

The super lightweight division will have a unification bout on April 15th as Ricky Burns will take on Julius Indongo for the WBA and IBF belts. It will be the biggest fight for both and will show who is under Terence Crawford in that division. April 22nd will have a great card as the headliner is the WBC welterweight eliminator between Andre Berto and Shawn Porter. The winner looks ahead to get a shot at unified champion Keith Thurman.

People are still talking about the result of the fight between Gennady Golovkin and Daniel Jacobs. The fallout from that fight and news surrounding the fighters will be covered in the first portion of this episode.

In the next section, the rematch between Jorge Linares and Anthony Crolla will be discussed and what's in store for the winner. The division is deep and the WBC champion has a chance to make a statement to be the best in the weight class by the end of this year.
