New (lit) episode this week! We’re talking “The Mandalorian” publishing group, new upcoming reference books/novels/comics, and touch upon an insane online rumor, all over some nice and refreshing adult beverages. And yes, things get loud fast.  

We’re back with a new casual episode after taking a few weeks off to reflect on all the chaos going on in the world. Rather than focus on a book club like we originally had planned, we decided to just chat about all the Star Wars news and announcements since our last recording as a way to slowly try and get back into the groove of things.  

Welcome back to a new (and regularly scheduled) Force Fan Podcast book club episode! Today, we thirst over James Luceno’s 2014 “Star Wars: Tarkin”, the second new canon novel produced under Disney’s Lucasfilm Story Group! There’s a lot to love and not to love, so take a listen and then give us your thoughts on this peculiar Star Wars novel! 

It’s been over a year since our last casual episode, but considering that we’re living in a post "The Rise of Skywalker” and Clone Wars season 7 world, we think now’s a good time as any for us to just sit back and talk about all the upcoming Star Wars projects we have to look forward to. Spoiler Alert: We have a lot of new Star Wars coming our way. And John’s back in this one!

Welcome to our first official “Words About Comics” book club! To celebrate (and mourn) the impeding end of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”, we decided to go back and revisit the “Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir” comic series, another excellent Clone Wars story that was initially lost but found a home in a new medium. A whole lot of love and new realizations about Maul’s place in the greater Star Wars universe in this episode (plus some exciting news talk), so don’t miss it!  

Hard to believe we’ve been podcasting about “Star Wars” for 3 years now! To celebrate, we invited back our original Fans of the Force guest Flip (from Flip and the Combined Effort) to talk about his deep dive into the animated and literary side of the “Star Wars” Universe. We had a blast discussing his experience binging all of “Clone Wars” and his thoughts on “Rebels” so far, and how it’s changed his perspective on the movies. Don’t miss this extra fun episode!  

We’ve come to the end of another Clone Wars Season 7 arc, and you know what that means: A new podcast episode where we talk about it! Check out our thoughts on the (controversial?) Ahsoka Underworld Arc, plus some more light discussion on those Rosario Dawson rumors and what we hope to get from the upcoming Siege of Mandalore Arc! 

New book club episode! In keeping with our current Ahsoka and Clone Wars theme, we thought it was about time we formally talked about “Ahsoka” by E. K. Johnston. It’s a small book with a big bite, and to make it even better, it also offers us a peek into that long-awaited bit of Star Wars lore we’re about to finally experience in this final “Clone Wars” season.
