This week Scott catches up with former Southland Stags & Jersey Red's halfback Liam Howley on his rugby journey so far.  Liam has had an interesting ride with his rugby career so far experiencing both the highs and lows of being a professional rugby player.  It is great to talk to Liam about his ride to date and talk about his hopes and goals for the rest of 2020 & beyond.

Midlands player Ben McKerchar joins Scott & Bryce to give a country perspective on all things to do with Southland club rugby.  The guys discuss the impact combining Premier & Division One grades on country clubs in 2019.  The success & future of the Eastern Northern Barbarians, off field perceptions and differences between town and country clubs at senior level, as well as plenty of good discussion on many topics to do with club rugby in Southland.

Marist & 2019 Southland Stags centre Javaan Fa'amoe Ioane joins Scott & Jeremy to recap the 2019 Galbraith & Ack Soper Shield seasons.  The guys discuss some players who stepped onto the Southland club scene in 2019.  Javaan talks about his journey to gaining a Mitre 10 Cup contract and the guys offer some thoughts around the importance of having a balance when it comes to picking local players vs bringing in imports from a Southland perspective in the Mitre 10 Cup.

Scott chats with former Southland BHS 1st XV & Marist player Monty Mitchell who now lives and plays his rugby in Scotland.  

Monty talks about his memories playing in the 1st XV and what it meant to pull on the royal blue jersey.  Explains his decision making around choosing which club to play for after leaving school and we both come up with our best SBHS 1st XV team from players we have played with and watched over the past few years.
