In this episode, we dive into the challenging reality of the No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) policy and its impact on migrant women in the UK.

“No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF)” is a condition attached to certain visas that restricts an individual’s access to benefits and other forms of financial support.

Ana Tagliati speaks with solicitor Francesca Sella from JustRight Scotland, a legal advocacy organisation supporting migrants, Sanaya, a migrant woman sharing her personal experience with NRPF, and Councillor Fatima Joji (woman of colour and daughter of immigrants), who discusses the policy’s impact on her community and the fight for change. Join us as we uncover the barriers NRPF imposes and spotlight the resilience of migrant women who navigate these obstacles every day.
