My graduation is near

And I have overcome the naysayers

And believed in the waymaker

I've believed in the fullness of others not

Believing me

Things were very tough, despite the support

Of individuals who were silently rooting for me

Can't you see, I reckon for just one second

I stand up and desire to get more

My time has come

Walking through these hallways of the school of life

I have managed to think of a better way from the inspiration within

Im seeing the bigger picture for my life

And i am taking charge

And my voice has been activated

Like a power ranger activating their powers

My transformation is awaiting for me

I am walking through the door of transformation

And I don't need any information

But if i did i would always seek God

And those sent from him above

Because those folks will always provide real love

And the real love is what I welcome with an open heart

And nothing will never break the bond apart

My time has come

See my part is to be the best me

And make a way for the younger children

And to provide bright pictures for others to see

Because when you see me, you see my mother

My father, my sisters and grandparents too

My auntie, cousin and uncle

I don't want to drop the ball or fumble

In life we all take a great fall or tumble

But life comes with blows and you rumble

My time has come

With life many friends, rejection and complex thinking

And lack of thinking leads to foreign thinking about oneself

Who am I ? there is a stranger in my body, visiting and there is something to miss

Or being stuck in the desert feeling the sun baking your skin like being a 400 degree oven or the sounds of a snake that hiss

See My time has come

Gratitude is my attitude ( I give thanks to you)

If it wasn't for you…

When i was feeling blue

It was you that loved me ‘when i couldn't love myself

I reckon to love no man would ever could

You are the creator of life the opportunity to become a wife

An 2 people rising the above the normal

Limitations that are placed on those that look like  us

Or when Martin Luther King told others not to ride the bus

I stand for the change

Not aiming for a particular range

But I stand up with a purpose

A desire to be more thankful

Even more grateful

Yet careful

Nothing is ever possible with you the Im I-M

Being present in the word impossible

Where things become possible

With faith, change, and plan

God has tested my faith in the based on the size of a seed

He hasn't missed anything that i may need

Day by day I seek change within me

On who i've been,

Who i am now

What my future could or would be ‘i'm the chick with the plan  ‘

As I've turned to social media, my pen and paper to take off to another dimension

And one day land

My heart says: I dwell in Christ  because I am one of his divine creations. From the crown of my head to the sole of my feet. Thank you if I had a thousand tongues it wouldn't be enough.

My heart says: No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I forgive those who have physically harmed me out of anger. I forgive those that may have used me for whatever reason that they saw fit to do. I forgive those that have verbally abused me and made me feel worthless, or if I wasn't good enough, smart  enough , or pretty enough. I forgive myself for all the self doubt, low self esteem, selfish ways, the double mindedness, for talking and accepting anything.

My heart says:  I love you, and I will never not give myself all of the unconditional love  life to operate as royalty in a high supreme. To be the best me, woman, mother,teacher, daughter, sister, friend , lover, cousin, granddaughter, auntie, niece, mentor and business partner.

All of this for me, I aspire to be more like Christ!

In Awe of You

Why are you in awe of me?

Is it the desire to be like me

My free spirit allows me to be, as you can see with the human eye

I am just a black woman

See i spy with my little eye

A woman who aspired to be who god called her to be

And for others to follow

This pen is my dear friend

Over and over i look in the mirror

And i ask myself what i hope to

Accomplish in the end?

There are no grey areas, or no such thing

As an in between

You either here or there

I thought success was the American dream

But now i realize that a bit extreme

I always loved writing as little girl never in my wildest dreams would I have ever imagined actually dropping an entitled poem podcast for others to listen to on a podcast platform and multiple connections. Giving honor to the most high God, my son who has been my shadow and creeping downstairs to wonder what I've been doing and the late nights I stayed up, and listening as the holy spirit lead me, guided me and spoke to my mind to generate the creative juices and sauce !

Love endures forever

Forever and forever

More and more

What is love?

Love is happiness

A feeling that is felt within

Love is pure

All that you endure to be loved

Love is trickey

Oh its ickey

love hurts like the worst pain

What is there to gain?

Its the kind of pain

That travel to your brain

And travels from your brain

To your heart

And through your blood

Vessel by vessel flowing through your veins

I got no gains

From all this pain

Pain is unseen

And even unheard of

What could love have been ?

Love endures forever

Somebody tell me how ?

I am still sitting in the mirror thinking wow !

Are you serious that love can endure

Are you willing to ensure

And reassure someone like me

How could i ever be ?

I am going after what i see

Love in my mind

Is others being kind

And finding common principles

And actions adding up to reciprocate this feeling

That people speak of

Well im done,

This has just begun

This thing called love

Well send me to heaven

Because i am now a dove

A dove flying in the sky

And i dont want to come back

There are still needs that lack

Love you say

Are you sure

The bible states in psalms that the lord love endures forever

And i said forever and forever

And more  and more

Down in my core or maybe beneath my soul

That knowing and understanding that loves endures forever

it is a concept to internalize

And marinate and believe

What is not seen

And what had been

Love endures forever

For quite some time

I need to sit back and think

Time is going  by day after day

Well i just may

Need more understanding

Of this word called love

i think of the word love

What is love ?

Is this something the Lord showed us ?

Is it stepping and being hit by a bus?

Does it put up a fuss among people

Who is displaying this word called love?

I guess i need to shut up and hush

And learn to get into my word and learn

About the word love
