The Hynies showed out for this one. (For those of you who don’t know, #Hynies are fans of Tyler Hynes. Yeah, I know. Yes, it’s for real.) Like Hynies lit-erally watch and live tweet together and Tyler Hynes was not only trending in the good ol US of A, but ALSO in Canada at the same time! CRAY CRAY! The power of Hallmark fans is legit. That’s all I have to say because it wasn’t my favorite storyline.  A love triangle?! WHYYYYY?? Ironically, it was legit Christmas feels, comically entertaining, and a quality production with excellent acting. I just didn’t like the story. Sorry, not sorry. Lala disagreed. We don’t always want “predictable.” This is a comedic Christmas mystery with a fun and talented ensemble running a family inn to impress a travel critic. Let’s just say we laughed a lot and our “Oy With the Poodles” was the shortest it’s ever been.

A wanna-be-semi-pro-hockey player meets a commercial-real-estate agent at a small airport in Idaho.  Their credit cards get mixed up and he ends up staying at her family’s cottage. That’s it. That is the plot. Spoiler alert: they kiss at the end.  What can I say? It was the first countdown to Christmas movie. It involved real estate, hockey, and cottages similar to Lala’s world…so we tried. Oy with the poodles already.
