After a fast international break, Ferris and Ron are here to wrap up all the big new coming from US Soccer. A new USMNT manager in Pochettino, the announcment of Alex Morgan's retirement and the dreadful loss to our neighbors to the north. A lot happend in such a short break.
The guys break down what you can look forward to in the return of club soccer as well as the breaking news of Leicester City winning their appeal against the Premier League's PSR violation charges.
Ron also manages a suprise beer from the beer news archives. Too bad Blake wasn't able to be on this one! Grab a beer and give a listen!
Cheers!
Week 1 of the Premier League is in the books! Chelsea have team sheet drama, United look promising and Arsenal handle their business. An interesting red card in the new castle match makes Ferris and Ron wonder how the officiating will be this season!
They also discuss the opening week of all the other european leagues as well as the stron rumors for the next USMNT manager....if....and only if....he will want to be released from the Chelsea contract.
Straight off of the hangover from the USWNT winning gold in Paris, its the dawn of a new premier league season!
The guys discuss the US women team struggles and triumphs in Emma Hayes' first major tournament as the new USWNT manager! They also heap praise on the players who fought hard to make it to the gold. What a great tournament! Looking forward to the future!
The Premier League is back after a glorius summer of soccer which included the Euros, Copa America and the aforementioned Olympics! The gents discuss the good, the bad and the ugly going into the season. The season predictions are worth a listen too!!
Crack a cold one and have a listen!
All kinds of craziness as a result of the Euros and the Copa America! Ron is convinced that Harry Kane cursed as he and the England squad come in the runner up spot in Europe. across the pond onver in the USA, people are trying to watch the Copa America final from the air ducts in the Hard Rock Stadium. Complete mayhem as the Copa America final was delay 1.5 hours to get things under control. Pity that fans who paid thousands weren't able to get in to watch Messi get injured as Argentina win back to back Copa's.
With those tournaments have been completed, we make way for the 2024 Olympics. This is the first true test of the USWNT Emma Hayes Eras tour. Perhaps the USMNT for the Olympics will fair better than the USMNT that went to the Copas. One thing is for certain, it'll be a fun tournament on both sides.
Back at it after a bit of a break, the guys review the "Summer of Soccer" and all the craziness it has to offer! First up is the Euros with all the pressure on England to win! If they do win, will anyone like Southgate after? Then there is the Copa America... Where the Canadians advance and the USMNT crash out hard in the group stage. As a result, Berhalter gets shown the door at US Soccer. All that and much more! grab a beer and have a listen!
Ferris and Ron tie up all the loose ends to the 23/24 season including the suprise winner of the FA Cup Manchester Derby style. Man U shines on a day the world was convinced they'd loose. Ron has to console Ferris after dortmund loose to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final. Dortmund started so bright but their light faded and eventually went out.
On a happier note; A new era has begun....not Taylor Swift's era.... the Emma Hayes Era started with the USWNT. The guys are pleased as punch about that. They give a good acoount of the new manager and talk about how she came to be at the USWNT. Good things are on the horizon!
You'll want to be sure to listen to Ron's beer news as he has some really good news on an on-going story that has been pretty popular for the gents. That, and other news that's fit to drink! Grab an IPA or two and give a listen!!
