In the premier episode of “Beyond the behavior,” Brian & Ms. Chyna discuss behavior hacks & teacher tips to help teachers survive through the end of the year.
They share new ideas in regards to relationship building & elopement: taking time to truly dive into the impact that embarrassment & being called out can have on a kid – especially when done in front of their peers.
Together, they discuss the importance of involving kids in the decision making process & how to allow kids control, while still being in charge of your classroom.
Ms. Chyna explains “choice language” and how to ask questions by offering choices rather than yes/no questions (which can often lead to an undesired response for both parties).
Together, Brian & Ms. Chyna, will dive into the students who are connection seeking. Discussing different attentional needs (Some students getting very little attention at home & some students getting an abundance of attention at home that they don’t know how to live with out it) and how to support all of your students with attentional needs.
