Acts 2:1-13

At the command of Jesus the disciples went back to Jerusalem and devoted themselves to prayer. When a believer weaves prayer together with the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, the result can be unstoppable effectiveness for God's mission.

If you're tempted to try to do the Christian life on your own, don't. God has a way that actually works: wait on the Holy Spirit.

Jesus pulls up along side us to show us the Scriptures, and give us the tools to do good works according to his will, and with love of Him in our hearts. Luke 24:13-34

After Jesus commended the church at Ephesus for their work, he strongly cautioned them about the loss of their love. We need to continually remember and treasure our love for Christ if the church's lamp is to shine in us.
