Matt and Dave follow up from Sunday's passage on Matthew 6:1-18, here are some of the questions from this week:

What would you say to someone who says “My praying, giving and fasting is just me being an example to other Christians, to get them praying, giving and fasting”?

Does verse 5 mean not to pray out loud in front of other people?

How in a corporate prayer meeting can we: Pray to be seen by others? Babble?

Could you give an example of how prayer grows our love/communion with God?

Why should we pray if verse 8 is true?

How do we know what God’s will is (verse 10)?

What does it look like to pray for daily bread/needs/provision whenever we don’t feel particularly needful?

Does God lead us into evil? (V13)

Why should we pray not to be led into temptation/trials whenever that Lord uses those trials to grow us/refine us?

What happens if we die without being reconciled to someone?

What if I struggle to forgive someone who has really wronged me?

People can probably wrap their heads around Jesus expecting us to pray and give… but fasting seems unreasonable/not that doable? Why do you think this is?

What are the benefits of fasting? (If that’s the right way of phrasing it)
