In 1970, the Supreme Court had decided if a shareholder of a company has fundamental rights. Further whether the Fundamental Rights are mutually exclusive or not. Setting a lot of important precedents which are still mentioned in Indian courts, this case has continued to become one of the landmark cases of the constitutional life of the country.

The Supreme Court of India had reserved its judgement on the question that if a person is declared as illegal migrant by a foreigners tribunal, but his name appears in NRC, whether he will be a citizen or not. Countries from the globe have recently signed a Global Compact for Refugees on Dec 2018(incorrectly stated as Jan 2019 on podcast). It didn't gain attention in media as the photograph of drowing refugee kid did. But it is equally important, actually more. It gives states an innovative framework to deal with refugee crisis where the responsibility and burden is shared among the communities rather than doing all on your own.
